Chief Executive Officer
Dr Matthew Leeper is co-founder and CEO of Silmaril and a multi-time founder who previously built Education Evolved into a leading immersive learning studio. With 14 years in higher education, coaching, consultancy and process architecture, plus deep AI and commercialisation expertise, he turns complex ideas into scalable digital transformations and global partnerships.
Sumeet Gurung
Chief Technology Officer
Sumeet Gurung is co-founder and CTO of Silmaril and a second-time founder, previously co-founding Education Evolved. A full-stack developer, he specialises in building agentic AI systems and RPA, orchestrating tools and workflows that replace manual processes with robust, scalable pipelines powering secure, data-rich products for education and enterprise clients.
Andrew Craig
Non-Executive Director
Andrew Craig is Non-Executive Director and co-founder at Silmaril and former co-founding partner of Maven Capital Partners, one of the UK’s leading private equity firms. An active angel investor, he brings decades of experience in private equity, board governance, and fundraising, helping management teams scale technology, services, and education-focused ventures across the UK.
